Uzbekistan slightly decreases production of gas condensate

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. The large enterprises of Uzbekistan have manufactured some 209,500 tons of gas condensate from January through February 2023, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

According to statistics, the country’s gas condensate output has down by 8.8 percent, compared to what was produced during the same period in 2022 (229,900 tons).

In the reporting period, the large industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan overall manufactured products worth 72.8 trillion soums ($6.3 billion), which is an increase of 9.1 percent, compared to the figure for the first two months in 2022 (66.7 trillion soums or $5.8 billion).

From January through February 2023, besides gas condensate, Uzbekistan produced some 1,536 tons of paints and polishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers in an aqueous medium, some 890,600 tons of Portland cement, some 110,700 tons of diesel fuel, some 263,900 tons of gasoline, as well as trucks (350), automobile engines (21,402), buses (114), tractors (7), lead batteries (190,800), refrigerators (65,200), etc.

In 2022, the output of gas condensate in Uzbekistan decreased by 2.7 percent and reached 1.2 million tons over 1.3 million tons in 2021.

At the same time, the country’s large enterprises in 2022 manufactured industrial products worth 551.1 trillion soums ($48.4 billion), which is 5.2 percent more than what was produced during the reporting period in 2021.
