TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 8. Uzbekistan's Saneg oil and gas company, uniting Sanoat Energetika Guruhi and Fergana Oil Refinery Plant (FNPZ), is mainly oriented towards local supply, Deputy Executive Director for Field Development of the company's Production Division Azizbek Nazarov told Trend on December 8.
"Domestic energy consumption is rapidly growing, so we're primarily focused on supplying the local market," Nazarov said.
According to him, domestic consumption constitutes over three million tons of oil products per year.
"We export the minimum number of products to the Baltic states and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)," Nazarov added.
As he noted, eight percent of the country's energy production comes from hydropower, two percent – from green energy, and the rest – from the oil and gas sector.
