Lithuania ready to start importing wide range of products from Kyrgyzstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. Lithuania is ready to start importing a wide range of products from Kyrgyzstan, as was noted during the Kyrgyz-Lithuanian business forum, which took place in Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek, Trend reports.

During the event, representatives of Lithuanian business circles expressed interest in importing steel, petroleum products, fertilizers, grain crops, cotton, feed additives, chemical products, as well as fabrics from Kyrgyzstan.

In turn, Lithuania could export locomotives, wastewater treatment equipment, food products, and pharmaceuticals to Kyrgyzstan.

Lithuanian companies and businesses are also ready to provide consultations on fish farming and modern agricultural machinery, as well as solar technologies for Kyrgyzstan.

Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Lithuania amounted to 371.8 million euros in 2022, with exports of goods to Kyrgyzstan totaling 325 million euro and imports - 46.8 million euro.

Kyrgyzstan ranked 30th by trade turnover among 211 Lithuania’s trade partners in 2022, 24 – by exports, and 45 – by imports.

The main share of goods of Lithuanian origin exported to Kyrgyzstan in 2022 fell on animal products - 44.7 percent or 2.5 million euros.
