BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 10. The document on cooperation was signed between Uzbekistan’s Uzavtosanoat company and Kyrgyz DT Technik and Nur companies on March 9, within the frame of the visit of Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov to Uzbekistan from March 8 to 11th, 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan.
This document was signed within the framework of the agreement for cooperation on car manufacturing between the Cabinet of Kyrgyzstan and the government of Uzbekistan, which had been signed at the end of January 2023.
The project is planned to be implemented in three stages. The first stage includes the organization of production of up to 10,000 cars (by SKD method), with the creation of 500 new jobs for Kyrgyz citizens.
The second stage involves the production of 20,000 cars, and creation of 1,000 new jobs.
The third stage implies the organization of production of total 30,000 cars (by CKD method), and the creation of 2,000 new jobs.
Moreover, as a part of Japarov's recent visit to Uzbekistan, the sides also signed an agreement on strategic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan's Bishkek Machine-Building Plant and Uzbek Moyhaq Selmash, which is a part of the Uzbek-Polish joint venture, Chirchiq Mash Agro.
This agreement provides for the production of spare parts for agricultural machinery, which is planned to be further sent to the markets of Kyrgyzstan and the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union).
