TEHRAN, Iran, September 2. Iran is inaugurating Ghadir water supply project that will provide clean and sustainable water to the five million population of Khuzestan Province, said the government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The project has been stalled for over ten years finally completed by the new administration in a year with 1.2 trillion rials (about $285 million).
Water pumps will transfer drinking water by pipes from the main water station in the Dez River to destination cities.
The objectives of this water supply project for the central and southern cities of Khuzestan province include Ahvaz, Abadan, Khorramshahr, and Shadegan, as well as the cities of Shush, Susangard, and other cities and villages along the route.
