BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects that Azerbaijan's nominal GDP in 2023 will amount to $70 billion, Trend reports with reference to the IMF.
According to the forecast, the nominal GDP of the country in 2024 will amount to 74.5 billion manat ($43.8 billion).
In addition, the IMF expects Azerbaijan's real GDP to grow by three percent in 2023.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan's GDP in 2022 rose by 4.6 percent up to 133.8 billion manat ($78.7 billion) compared to 2021.
In the structure of GDP, the share of industry in the reporting period amounted to 51.1 percent, 8.2 percent fell on trade and repair of vehicles, 6 percent – on transport and warehousing, 4.8 percent - on agriculture, forestry, and fish farming, 4.8 percent - on construction, 1.6 percent - on the tourism sector, and 1.4 percent - on the sphere information and communication.
At the same time, other sectors of the economy accounted for 14.7 percent of GDP.
From January through December 2022, the GDP per capita in Azerbaijan amounted to 13,292 manat ($7, 818).
