BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 10. Trade turnover in Baku increased from January through September 2022, Trend reports on November 10 via the Baku City Statistics Department.
According to the department, this indicator amounted to 20.27 billion manat ($10.29 billion), up by 4.6 percent on annual basis.
In the first nine months of this year, food, beverages and tobacco sales in the Baku trade network reached 12.3 billion manat ($7.2 billion), growing by 15.7 percent against the same period of 2021.
Meanwhile, non-food sales declined by 8.7 percent - to 7.9 billion manat ($4.6 billion).
Besides, according to the department, 35.6 percent of the sold products fell on enterprises with the status of a legal entity, 46 percent – on trade facilities owned by individuals, and 18.4 percent – on Baku's markets.
