The volume of money transfers sent from Kazakhstan to Georgia via international money transfer systems (IMTS) reached 3.5 billion Kazakhstani tenge ($36.6 million) in April 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the National Bank shows a slight 9.4 percent increase in transfers compared to the previous month, rising from 3.2 billion tenge ($33.5 million) in March to 3.5 billion tenge ($36.6 million) in April.
In total, there were 144,000 outbound IMTS transactions executed from Kazakhstan during April 2025, amounting to a total value of 57.4 billion tenge, equivalent to $112.8 million. Compared to March 2025, the number of transactions increased by 5.3 percent, while the total volume grew by 21.4 percent.
The primary destinations for remittance flows originating from Kazakhstan were as follows: Russia accounted for 31.6 percent of the total volume, Uzbekistan represented 29.9 percent, Türkiye comprised 18.3 percent, and Georgia constituted 6.2 percent.
