BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. Uzbekistan plans to construct a solar photovoltaic station with a capacity of 1,200-1,500 kW on the territory of Syrdarya thermal power plant,Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Energy.
The preparatory work on the construction of the station has already begun. Upon commissioning of this station, 3 million kWh of electricity will be generated and 900,000 cubic meters of natural gas will be saved per year.
For construction of this station a contract was signed with Uzbekenergotamir JSC, according to which it is planned to work on the preparation of the land, construction, installation and commissioning of equipment.
Currently, a group of specialists has begun work on the study of the land plot and the design of the facility.
