BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 22. Turkmenistan has sold a large batch of liquefied gas to entrepreneurs from the UAE, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan through its commodity and raw material exchange of Turkmenistan, Trendreports.
Turkmenistan sold a total of 46,000 tons of liquefied gas to businessmen from the UAE, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, the cost of which was estimated at $394 per ton (Turkmennebit State Concern) and $391 per ton (Turkmengaz State Concern). The total amount of transactions for the sale of liquefied gas amounted to $18 million.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan sold 30,000 tons of hydrotreated diesel fuel to an entrepreneur from Singapore and UAE for a total of $16,3 million ($546.5 per ton).
Meanwhile, in Turkmenistan as a whole, the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas was exceeded by 12.7 percent in 2022, and the plan for the production of liquefied gas - by 5.1 percent.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
