BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. Turkish Altek Alarko expressed interest in the construction solar power station in Uzbekistan’s Fergana region, Trend reports via the Uzbek media.
"Altek Alarko A.Ş." is a subsidiary of Alarko Energy Group, which takes part in energy generation, distribution and wholesale trades, and aims to provide the needed supply for the energy demand.
The issue was discussed at the meeting of the governor of the Fergana region Khayrullo Bazarov with the General Director of the company Hakan Aitekin.
During the talks, the sides discussed the financial issues of the solar power station in the Fergana region construction project.
At the meeting, the General Director provided the governor with detailed information about the current status of the 1000 MW solar power station construction in Türkiye.
Following the meeting, the khokimiyat of the Fergana region (local government) expressed readiness to support the Turkish company's initiative and agreed to implement the joint plan for further cooperation.
Earlier in January, "Şa-ra Enerji İnşaat Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş.", the major energy company of Türkiye, won the international tender of Uzbekistan’s "National Electric Grid" JSC for the construction of high-voltage power transmission networks in Tashkent city and Sirdarya region.
Following the results of tenders, the Turkish company will construct 220 kV power transmission lines with a length of 213 kilometers worth $31.89 million.
