BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 16. The Turkish Port of Ceyhan from January through November 2022 handled more than 14,6 million tons of cargo, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye said, Trend reports citing TurkicWorld.
According to the ministry, ships flying the Turkish flag handled 162,445 tons, while vessels flying the flags of other countries transferred 14.4 million tons of freight.
"In the reporting period, the Ceyhan port delivered 45.07 million tons of transit cargo," the ministry said.
Turkish ports handled 6.7 million tons of cargo in November 2022.
According to the ministry, Turkish ports handled 361.9 million tons of cargo from January through November 2022.
During this period, ships flying the Turkish flag transferred 25.79 million tons of cargo, whereas ships flying the flags of other countries – had 336.1 million tons.
Moreover, during this period, Turkish ports transshipped 73.7 million tons of transit cargo.
