BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. Kazakhstan will supply 50,000 tons of grain to China, Trend reports, via Astyk Trans.
Astyk Trans, a grain and agricultural goods transporting company of Kazakhstan, revealed that the agreement on the export was signed in the framework of the 2nd Friendly Dialogue of Cross-Border Cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, which was held in Almaty earlier this week.
Kazakh grain will be delivered to the Chinese Alashankou free economic zone, located in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
Astyk Trans notes that the conclusion of the agreement will enable Kazakhstan to diversify exports.
Earlier, during the 2nd Friendly Dialogue of Cross-Border Cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Serik Zhumangarin, said that Kazakhstan is prepared to export agricultural production worth around $1 billion to China, in addition to increasing wheat supply volume over 1 million tons.
