Turkish Transport Ministry shares data on volume of cargo transshipment by Turkish port of Tuzla

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. The Turkish port of Tuzla handled 1.2 million tons of cargo in 1Q2022, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.

Ministry said that 1.02 million tons of cargo was transported by ships under the flag of Turkey through the port of Tuzla, and 219,660 tons by ships under the flags of other countries.

"The Turkish port of Tuzla handled 37,709 tons of transit cargo in 1Q2022," the ministry said.

The ports of Turkey handled 24.1 million tons of cargo in March 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through local ports amounted to 2.2 million tons during the specified period. Turkish ports handled 6.6 million tons of transit cargo in March 2022.

Turkish ports handled 98.6 million tons of cargo from January through March 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 6.9 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under flags of other countries amounted to 91.6 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 20.5 million tons of transit cargo in 1Q2022.

The ports of Turkey handled 386.3 million tons of cargo in 2021.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 29.9 million tons during the specified period.

Volume of cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 356.3 million tons in 2021.

Turkish ports handled 78 million tons of transit cargo last year.
