BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 12. Iran's trade turnover with China increased by 1.2 percent in value and 1.06 percent in volume, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Morteza Emadi said, Trend reports citing the administration.
The spokesman said that the non-oil trade turnover between Iran and China for 8 months amounted to more than 23 million tons worth over $20.2 billion.
According to Emadi, the products exported from Iran to China were mainly petrochemical products, dried fruits, saffron, etc., while the products imported from China were various industrial equipment, spare parts, household appliances, etc.
Overall, Iran exported 70.4 million tons of non-oil products worth about $32.4 billion, within the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), which is an increase of 4.44 percent in value, while a decrease of approximately 16 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, Iran imported 23.4 million tons of goods worth about $37.1 billion in 8 months, which is an increase of 15.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 12.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
